Richardson Electronics Introduces K-Band Silicon SATCOM Rx Quad-Core IC from Anokiwave

LaFox, IL, Thursday, October 29, 2015 – Richardson Electronics, Ltd. (NASDAQ: RELL) announced today the availability of a new K-band silicon SATCOM Rx quad-core integrated circuit from Anokiwave, Inc.

 

The highly-integrated AWS-0102 is intended for satellite communications applications. The device supports four dual-polarization radiating elements with full programmable polarization flexibility. It provides 22 dB gain with a noise figure of 3.4 dB. Additional features include gain compensation over temperature and temperature reporting.

 

The new IC offers ESD protection on all pins, operates from +1.8 V, and is packaged in a 56-lead, 7 mm x 7 mm PQFN for easy installation in planar phased array antennas.
