Internship Opportunities

Our internship program is designed to provide students with an understanding of what it’s like to work at Richardson Electronics. Participants start with an orientation program, have the opportunity to connect with other interns (in addition to their manager, mentor, and team), and wrap up their internship with a final presentation to demonstrate their achievements.

Summer internships are offered at our global headquarters in LaFox, IL. Our internship program provides students with hands-on, career-specific experience through 10 to 12 weeks of work during summer break. As a company, we get access to bright new talent to help us accomplish our business goals. As an intern, you get challenging assignments and an opportunity for meaningful work experience.

Program Overview

Orientation

During the first week, students report for our new hire welcome/orientation program, where they complete the necessary paperwork to begin their internship and learn more about policy and programs and our organization’s intern program.

Professional Development

We provide students with hands-on, career-specific experience. This is a great platform to connect with leadership and collaborate with professionals in many areas of our business. Throughout the internship, there are many opportunities to gain insight and exposure to our business that will last a lifetime.

Final Presentation

Students work very hard at completing their work and are generally proud of their accomplishments. Final presentations are required at the end of each internship to allow students an opportunity to demonstrate their achievements.
